These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the SlabLab mobile apps and website (slablab.co), operated by SlabLab LLC (“SlabLab,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).

By using SlabLab, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service.

‍2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and live in the United States to use SlabLab.

‍3. Accounts
To use SlabLab's community you need an account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your login details secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

We verify email addresses and may later allow Apple or Google login.

‍4. Community Guidelines
SlabLab is a place for backcountry skiers to connect and learn respectfully. You agree to act courteously, avoid harassment, hate speech, or illegal activity, and not post unsafe or misleading information.

You must not share copyrighted material without permission or impersonate others. SlabLab may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules.

‍5. User Content and License
You keep ownership of anything you post or upload, including posts, photos, and comments (“User Content”).


By posting, you grant SlabLab a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content within the Service and to promote SlabLab. We may use content for marketing or educational purposes in anonymized or non-identifiable form, or with your permission if identifiable.

This license continues until you delete your content or your account. You confirm you have the right to share anything you post.

‍6. DMCA Policy
If you believe something on SlabLab violates your copyright, send a notice to hello@slablab.co. Include your contact information, a description of the copyrighted work, the location of the material, a statement of good faith belief that the use is unauthorized, and your electronic or physical signature.

We review all notices and remove infringing content as required by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

‍7. Payments and Subscriptions
SlabLab offers subscription options processed by Stripe. You will be charged at signup and on renewal. You can cancel any time in the app or by emailing us.

We provide a 14-day no-questions-asked money-back guarantee. After that period, refunds are not guaranteed but may be considered case by case.

Promotional or referral codes may have separate terms.

‍8. Trials and Promotions
If we offer a free trial, it will automatically convert to a paid subscription unless canceled before the trial ends. SlabLab may change or end promotions at any time.

‍9. Safety and Risk
Backcountry travel is inherently risky. SlabLab provides a platform for learning and communication, not safety instruction or professional guiding.

By using SlabLab, you agree that you are solely responsible for your decisions and safety. SlabLab is not liable for accidents, injuries, or losses. Information shared in the community is for education only and not real-time advice.
SlabLab is not an emergency service and should never be relied on for rescue or navigation.

Users of the SlabLab community must also agree to the SlabLab Waiver and Release of Liability. Nothing in these Terms of Service changes, replaces, or limits any part of that document. Both agreements apply independently.

‍10. Intellectual Property
All content, design, and technology created by SlabLab, except User Content, belong to SlabLab LLC. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the Service without our permission.

‍11. Prohibited Activities
You agree not to scrape data, attempt to hack the Service, impersonate others, upload malicious code, use bots or spam, or interfere with the operation of SlabLab. Violations may result in suspension or legal action.

‍12. Electronic Communications and Signatures
By using SlabLab, contacting us, or completing forms on the site or app, you agree to receive communications electronically. You consent to electronic records and signatures, which satisfy any legal requirement for written communication.

‍13. Termination
You can delete your account at any time. SlabLab may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or disrupt the community. We may also discontinue parts of the Service with reasonable notice.

‍14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, SlabLab LLC and its affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including data loss, injury, or lost profits.

Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid in the previous 12 months.

‍15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SlabLab LLC from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

‍16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms occasionally. If changes are significant, we will notify you by email or in-app. The “Last Updated” date will reflect the new version. Continuing to use SlabLab after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

‍17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. All disputes must be resolved in state or federal courts located in California.
